Hale Asaf - Turkish Painter (1905-1938)

Hale Asaf's artistic journey was marked by an inquisitive spirit. Initially, she embraced constructivist design, which later merged with expressionism during her time in Germany. In Istanbul, her works featured sharp brushstrokes and plein air studies without reverting to past patterns.
In Paris, she explored Late Cubism and achieved a synthesis of her early influences with Art Deco's curves, developing a unique artistic style. Her individual, distinctive style earned her acclaim in Paris exhibitions.
