Alphonse Mucha - Czech painter and illustrator - (1860-1939)

Alfons Maria Mucha (Czech: [ˈalfons ˈmuxa] ; (24 July 1860 – 14 July 1939), known internationally as Alphonse Mucha, was a renowned Czech painter, illustrator, and graphic artist. Residing in Paris during the Art Nouveau period, he gained wide recognition for his uniquely stylized and decorative theatrical posters, notably those of Sarah Bernhardt. Mucha also created illustrations, advertisements, decorative panels, and designs that became some of the most iconic images of the era.
